The standard 10.2-inch iPad is still the cheapest iPad Apple sells, but there is now a new iPad with a 10.9-inch display that costs a bit more. If you’re looking to pick up a deal and save money on either the 2021 iPad (9th gen) or the 2022 iPad (10th gen), then you’ve come to the right place.

Deals on the 10th gen iPad are few, but there are resellers cutting the price of the older 9th gen model.

- Amazon has the 2022 64GB Wi-Fi 10.9-inch iPad for $399, which is $50 off.
- Amazon has the 2022 256GB Wi-Fi 10.9-inch iPad for $549, which is $50 off.
9th gen iPad:
- Amazon has the $609 10.2-inch iPad with 256GB SSD and cellular for $579 ($30 off)
U.K. resellers
10th gen iPad:
- AO.com has £30 off the price of the 10.9in iPad! Get it for £469.
- AO.com also has £14 off the 10.9in iPad with 256GB SSD! Get it for £665.
9th gen iPad:
- Amazon has the 10.2-inch iPad, 9th gen for £319. This is how much it cost before Apple raised the price to £369.
- Argos, Amazon and John Lewis have the 10.2-inch iPad, 9th gen with 256GB SSD for £459. This is how much it cost before Apple raised the price to £549.

Below are the best iPad 9th gen prices we have seen for a variety of retailers. Since this iPad has been on sale since 2021 there are more in the way of deals, but since it’s already Apple’s cheapest iPad the discounts don’t tend to be as big as you might see on other iPads.

In 2021 the 9th gen iPad suffered from stock shortages, so half the challenge was finding a retailer that has one in stock. Hopefully this won’t also be the case with the 10th gen iPad, but if it is you might find one at one of these major retailers:

Best refurbished iPad deals
The deals you will see above are generally from Apple resellers rather than Apple itself – Apple very rarely drops the prices. Apple does, however, sell reconditioned iPads in its refurbished store. So you might be able to grab a bargain.
The iPads in Apple’s refurbished store may be ex-display stock, or they may have been returned to Apple due to a fault, but they are fully reconditioned now and come with a full year’s warranty. It’s not like buying secondhand.
